Software and hardware that I use, and other things I recommend.

Here are the things that I use to be productive, whether working with software, or working out in the gym.

Workstation

  • MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019), Intel Core i7, 16GB

My main machine to get things done. Low-key, I wish I had better specs, but as long as I don't run into resource issues while running my containers, it's all good.

  • Dell Latitude 7400

A powerful machine that I used to have before getting my MacBook. Heavily used for freelance projects, or experimenting with tech stacks that I don't use often.

  • Samsung 24-inch FHD Monitor

Really sturdy in my opinion, used as my second screen over the years. No plans of buying a bigger or a new one unless it breaks.

  • Logitech M330 Silent Plus Mouse

One of the life-changing purchases that I did. The comfort, and silent clicks are amazing, especially when coding late at night.

Development tools

  • Visual Studio Code

The default compatibility with TypeScript (and JavaScript in general) is heaven sent. Community support is huge, and the extensions are really awesome.

  • iTerm2 + zsh

A really nice combo in my opinion. I'm not really keen with CLI, but the power to create custom commands with ease is too good.

  • Postman

A really powerful tool to create, store collections of HTTP requests and fire them at will.

Productivity

  • Spotify

Would raise some people's eyebrows, but some music makes me focused with coding (heavily depends on my mood, honestly). May not work for everyone, but hey, it works for me! Why not give it a try?

  • Tough Mama Coffee Maker

One of the best purchases that I did. Saved so much money by homebrewing coffee instead of buying Starbuck's. And yeah, caffeine keeps me up.

Gym Gears

  • Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation)

Really good purchase, enables me to get into the zone and focus on my lifts and laps. Plus points for having an excuse to ignore annoying people in the gym.

  • Adidas Ultraboost

Generally a great running and gym shoes, used it over the years and it never failed me for several running events that I participated in.

  • Generic Wrist Support

Underrated gym gear in my opinion. People take the importance of wrist support for granted, especially when breaking PR's or lifting heavy in general.
